Since Pierre Robin in France and Vigo Andresen in Denmark both presented the uses and applications of the Monoblock and the Activator at the beginning of the XXth century prepared with Vulcanite, many other functional orthopedic and orthodontic removable devices had to develop years later in Europe and later in America. The vulcanite being replaced by the acrylic polimerizable.

From the year 1989 in Australia Dr. Chris Farrell founded Myofunctional Research Company, it begins the development of prefabricated appliances using high advanced technology in the application of polyurethane and silicone with CAD, (Computer Alded Design) for the development of the systems.

The new concept of being able to use a device immediately with therapeutic ends for the malfunctions of the temporomandibular joints, is a very important technological and clinical advance achieved in the field of removable appliances for Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopaedics.

In 1993 after FDA approval, started the scientific and technological diffusion as well as the commercialisation on a global scale, of the TMJ and Trainer Systems. This for preventive and interceptive treatments in orthodontics and orthopedics for children and adolescents as well as in some adult patients.

At the end of the 90’s and until today, they go so far as to develop other systems as it is the case of the Myobrace, in order to be able to finish some patients' cases without having to use brackets and to reduce the extractions.

We have used and verified the benefits of these Systems from the year 2002 when we initiated our investigations and reports of the evidences in the diagnosis and treatment with MRC innovative dental appliances.

This is one of the reasons why we want to share our clinical experiences.
The clinical cases that we have, are wide and the results mostly satisfactory having used the Trainers; Infant Trainer, T4K, T4B. T4CII, T4F. T4U, T4A. Along with the previous we have added the use of the Myobrace System since the year 2006. Its first generation with Dynamicore, and the second generation without Dynamicore.

This work has been developed and presented across conferences, courses and seminars at national and international level and it has allowed us to share in Mexico and recently in the Republic of Colombia for invitation of MRC of Australia and PERCODEN LTDA (exclusive representative of MRC in Colombia).

Our research and reports of the clinical evidences as Specialist and Teacher in the Faculty of Odontology of the UNAM University, as well author of the “Hybrid Amalgamated Technique”, have gone beyond the specialized magazines since they have come out to the university scenario.

In the year 2004 and in 2006 two documents were investigated and registered in the form of Thesis by the now Surgeons Dentists Angélica Escandón and Iudicaely Cárdenas from the Faculty of Dentistry of the UNAM University in Mexico.

My participation as the Academic Director of those Thesis and the support from Dr. Chris Farrell Director of MRC with samples of appliances used in the patients that we have treated with the systems earlier mentioned; in combination with our hybrid removable devices and active hybrid badges recognized as “Artureitors” and the “Amalgamated Technique of Dr. Vincent De Angelis from Harvard University School (with brackets standard .022 and light wires Australian, Elgiloy and thermos actives).

It has allowed us to include the scientific and technological bases of the Trainer and TMJ Systems (in 2004’s thesis) and the Myobrace System (in 2006’s thesis), supported by the clinical evidences and professional experience in the handling of these appliances from me (including the Myobrace).

The support of the company AH KIM PECH exclusive representative of MRC in Mexico has assisted our studies and committed with the research and scientific diffusion of the Craniofacial Orthopaedics and Orthodontics in Mexico.

We now offer our work, experience and knowledge to the service of our colleagues worldwide; sharing experiences, comments and clinical cases to joining any efforts to strengthen the scientific, professional, social, economic and humanistic aspects that identify us as dental professionals. To advance in the diagnosis and treatment of Craniofacial Orthopaedics, Orthodontics, Prosthesis, dental Pediatrics, and Maxilofacial Surgery.
